I enjoyed my day volunteering. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to help those in need or support local businesses in my community. I would do this again for sure! It is great to serve others.

I volunteered for the creative reuse program for labor of love. There, volunteers sorted throughout a variety of donated items such as greeting cards, envelopes, basket stuffing, etc. While sorting through envelopes and greeting cards, I couldn't help but think about those who struggle to afford small gestures of kindness such as a greeting card. Creative reuse now makes that possible by selling donated items such as those to simultaneously reduce waste and allow those to make fair use of those goods. I learned that even volunteering a few hours of time can deeply impact the community and serve its needs. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely do it again.

I attended and volunteered for the Creative Reuse for Labor of Love. We gaveback by helping the Creative Reuse in Pittsburgh by sorting, organizing, and putting together cards, playing cards, envelopes, and filler. The Creative Resuse gives back to the environment by reusing and recycling and we gave back to them in favor. My friends and I mainly sorted through the cards, fillers, and envelopes. From this little help of a few hours after looking at the organized piles and bags we were able to see the big picture of saving someone else a good amount of time and work. We even learned and pieced together a life of lady from the recycled giving cards she received and gave throughout her life. I am grateful to have had this opportunity to give my time to help this organization and will continue to take any opportunity available to be able to give to others.

Overall it was a great time with great people. I learned a lot and without this experience I would not have learned things I did or feel this good.

I overall enjoyed my time participating in Labor of Love. It is a tradition at Seton Hill and I was excited and honored to be a part of it. I would love to be more involved with community service here in the future.
