About

Did you know that 40% of the children at Fort Allen Elementary School in Greensburg are living at or below the poverty level? In an effort to ease these families Seton Hill is partnering with Harold Zion Lutheran Church in supporting the Food 2 Go 4 Kids Program.

This program is in its fourth year and was instituted by a cooperative venture between the Fort Allen Elementary School and some of the churches of the Fort Allen area of Greensburg.  When it started, there were about 50 children who received the weekend lunches twice a month. These children who are screened by the school case workers, qualified for the weekend lunches (something which they were not receiving).  By the end of our third year, the number of children receiving the weekend lunches every week reached 100 and it was estimated that 40 percent of the school is at or below the poverty level.

Parking Details
When you get here and are in the parking lot, drive over towards the dumpsters. At the dumpsters, there is a driveway that takes you down to the picnic pavilion. There are several parking spaces where you folks can park at that level. Go in the glass door at the basement level. They will take you directly into the Fellowship Hall which is where you see the bags and food.
